Intensity Competition Company

Intensity Company is our outstanding early competition program, for ages 4-18 years old, to prepare promising young dancers for competition and technical excellence. Based on a similar format to our current Pre-Professional competition team, dancers will get to experience what it is like to be a competitive dancer and see the competition world first hand. Because this program is only a two day per week commitment, it is designed to ease your child into the company at a financial and time commitment level that is feasible for busy families, while remaining a fun and challenging environment for them to learn and grow.

Company Intensives are August 9-12

Intensity Company:
Dancers take class two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) and train in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Stretch & Tech. There are four local competitions per year. Intensity dancers compete in 2 dances plus production. There is no national competition. Dancers will participate in 1 major convention and 2 in house convention. Additional Conventions are optional. Intensity dancers are not required to take summer classes, however they are highly recommended.

What do I get on Intensity?

• 2 Competitive dances (minimum) + Intensity Production
• 4 Local competitions
• 3 conventions - 2 In studio and 1 Travel (Chicago area)

Classes Included in montly tuition package (per week):

• 2 - Ballet Classes
• 1 - Stretch & Technique Class
• 1 - Jazz Class
• 1 - Contemporary Class
• 3 - Competition dance rehearsals

Elite Intensity Company:
In addition to the standard Tuesday thru Thursday classes, Elite Intensity dancers will come in on Wednesdays as well. They will receive extra training in Ballet, Technique, and Hip Hop. Elite Intensity dancers will also have an extra hip hop competition piece along with their Jazz, Lyrical, and Production. Dancers will audition separately to be in elite and will be selected based off auditions.

What do I get on Elite Intensity?

• 3-4 Competitive dances (minimum) + Intensity Production
• Solos optional
• 4 Local competitions
• 3 conventions - 2 In studio and 1 Travel (Chicago area)
