Storm Dance Alliance Poms Team Information 2010-2011 Season
2010 Pricing: 160.00 Per Month- Includes- Hip Hop, Pom Technique, & Team Rehearsals (2 / wk)
The tuition for competition team, much like a private school, is determined and divided up over 9 Months. These fees apply to the season from Ju through the last week of May, and are divided into 9 total payments. Summer classes, if you choose to take them, are not included in this package. Please keep in mind when choosing a package that your child must take instructional classes in Pom Technique, and Hip Hop. If you would like for other family members to take class, you may do so at the multi-class discounted rate. Please enjoy your classes, as these packages are priced at a discounted rate for the benefit of our company and pom team dancers only! You may choose to take additional classes, and can add those to your package at the discounted rate of 20% off additional electives.
2009 Rehearsal Information
JV Team- JV Team will rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-6:30 pm. This will include both required classes and rehearsals.
Varsity Team- Varsity Team will rehearse Monday and Wednesday from 5-7 pm. This will include all required rehearsals and classes.
** Additional classes may be added to your dancer’s schedule during any other times that you choose.
** Rehearsals will begin consistently after Labor Day. We will schedule two to three rehearsals in August to review choreography learned at camp.
Intensive:
All Poms Dancers will need to be at our intensive camp August 10-12th, 2009 from 9 a-1 p each day. We will be learning choreography for the upcoming season, as well as working on flexibility, technique, and bonding as a team. Big and Little Sisters will be paired at this time as well. If you have not signed up for the intensive, please do so at the front desk immediately. Cost for the intensive is 150.00. There will be a show at the end of the camp.
Parent Meeting:
Will be held Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30 pm. One representative per family will need to attend. A competition schedule as well as handbook, phone/ email list, and calendar of all events will be handed out at this time.
Expenses for the season:
- Warm-up Jacket & Pants: $120.00 (New members only)
- Duffle Bag: $40.00 Approx. (New for this season)
- Cheer Uniform: Cost Approx. $240.00 Includes Shoes, socks, poms, hairbow, body suit, skirt, and shell. Briefs will be bought by the participant. (Returning Members will need to purchase new shoes, bow, and possibly socks/poms.
- Hip Hop Outfit: $90.00 Approx.
- Competition Fees: 3 Competitions, $25-28.00 per dance, x 2 dances.
- Make-up: Approximately $40.00
- Hair Piece: $30.00 (JV Only) (Returning Members do not need a new one)
- Team Intensive: $150.00
Recital and Community Performances
Poms team dancers perform in our annual spring recital, which will be held the weekend of May 22 and 23rd 2010.
Poms may perform in various community performances throughout the season. Notification will be given as soon as we receive requests for performances.
Competitions
The Poms Team Competes at 3 competitions per year, in the surrounding IL area. All competitions are mandatory.
Dancers choosing to partake in the Nationals team will also compete at an additional regional competition, as well as a national event. More details on this will be available at the parent meeting. These dancers will rehearse through June to prepare for the national, as well as having additional rehearsals in May to prepare the routines for the additional regional.
Competitions will be held from November - March for the regular team.
Deposits:
Warm-Ups and Uniform Deposits will be Due August 10th, on the first day of camp. The deposit will be half of the total amount owed for warm-ups, bag, and uniforms. Returning Pom Team Members will need to fill out the form in your mailbox, indicating what you need to order for this season. You will receive an invoice for the deposit in your dancer’s mailbox at the studio by the end of July. The remaining balance will be due October 1st, 2009. You will receive a reminder about this via email.
Mailboxes:
Each team member has a mailbox located at the front of the studio. Please check this and your email frequently for information. Mailboxes will be created for the first day of intensive.
